About AIRSO meetings
AIRSO holds five or six conference style General Meetings each year for its members at various locations throughout the UK. The papers are sent to members about a month before each meeting. Meetings usually start at 11am (with tea and coffee from 10.30am) and finish around 3.30pm-3.45pm.
AIRSO also promotes a number of "Road Safety Seminars" during the year These Seminars are by nature interactive and participative usually covering three or four subjects introduced and led by experienced practitioners.
AIRSO arranges subject based workshops and seminars often based on major road safety consultations or changes to legislation. In this way members can be better informed of what is intended and can contribute as appropriate to any response which is to be made.
Members are encouraged to bring guests to these meetings, seminars and workshops. By prior application to the Secretary they may also be open to those involved in road safety work who have no link with any member.
A standard fee is charged for AIRSO General Meetings, Seminars and Workshops, currently £20 (£15 for AIRSO members). This includes the cost of lunch and refreshments.
AIRSO has recently introduced Breakfast
Networking Meetings on a local or regional basis. These events will
aim to provide an opportunity for AIRSO Members
to meet together in a more informal way and to exchange ideas,
opinions and good practice. The cost, including breakfast, will be £20.00 (£15.00 for AIRSO Members).
For more details on these meetings please contact
the Secretary.
